Nepal Telecom originally intended to conduct a 5G network testing across Nepal within the first week of Jan 2023, however the experiment has been postponed by a few weeks due to the country’s limited supply of 5G-compatible mobile phones.
Nepal Telecom stated that it had installed every piece of essential equipment for a 2600MHz frequency trial and is ready to go. However, due to a lack of consumers using 5G-compatible smart phones at this frequency, it caused a slight delay.
