The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 was the result of years of hopes, frantic appeals, and corporate cooperation, as Google and Samsung finally collaborated to provide us with the wonderful Android wristwatch that Android users deserved.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Review
The Exynos processor inside outperformed its rivals’ antiquated Qualcomm chipsets. It combined Samsung’s enhanced hardware and software experience with Google services and applications that previous Tizen-based Galaxy Watch models lacked.
It wasn’t a flawless smartwatch by any means: battery issues were prevalent, and since this was the first watch to utilize the newly unified Wear OS 3, third-party watches and applications struggled to interface with Samsung’s health sensors for a long. We were left waiting for most of the year for Google Assistant on the Watch 4, and Google Pay would sometimes stop functioning. (Admittedly, half of the problems were actually on Google’s end, but it was still quite inconvenient.)

The new Galaxy Watch 5 didn’t need to do much to maintain its crown now that the services are out and the first issues have been smoothed out, simply tweak an already-improved experience. However, when launching the Galaxy Watch 5, Samsung was keen to highlight the much-improved battery life, since it was one of just three major changes on the new model. Samsung promises that the Galaxy Watch 5 may last up to 50 hours on a single charge. While it stoked my appetite, the watch itself has left me hungry despite being superior to the Watch 4 in some ways.
Samsung improved the greatest Android watch with Galaxy Watch 5, but it still manage to surprise everyone by making false promises & underdelivering its most essential promise.
